Don’t Worry About Being Original

by Eric on May 19th, 2009

I’ve been wrestling lately with what to write about.  I guess I’ve had “blogger’s block” as well as fatigue from all the politics and current events that have been happening.  So, as a pause from normal blogging, here’s a little quote from one of my favorite authors:

Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.

– C. S. Lewis

So when you’re blogging, don’t worry about whether or not you’re being original.  Just blog what you think.  Just sit down with your favorite blogging program and write.  It’ll eventually come to you.  Happy blogging!
