Debate Wasn’t a Game Changer

fumble After watching all 120 minutes of the grueling Presidential Debate #02 for 2008, I must say that John McCain did not pull off what he needed to swing the momentum back in his direction.  Sure there were a few zingers fired at Barack Obama.  But I believe Obama actually performed better than McCain.

And that doesn’t bode well for the Republican nominee.  I fear that, in four short weeks, this country will vote in the first Socialist President.  John McCain had too many stumbles in his speech, and he didn’t engage Obama nearly enough.  He needed to come out swinging and really stick Obama’s liberal policies to him.  That just didn’t happen.  Now we’re twenty-eight days from the election and McCain is going to be still behind in the polls after tonight.

As Charles Krauthammer said last night, McCain may have won on points (won the domestic portion and lost the foreign policy portion) but it was Pass/Fail for Obama and he passed.  I’m foreseeing at least four years of Socialism ahead.

I really hope I’m proven wrong on November 4th.
