Starting a New Series

by Eric on October 5th, 2008

This week I’ll be starting a new book, called “The Conservative’s Handbook” by Phil Valentine.  I bought two or three weeks ago and have yet to read any of it.

So as a motivation to get into the pages, I’m going to start a new article series summarizing what I’ve read and how I think it applies today.  I haven’t deciding on a frequency of the posts, but since I’m in school again (Ack!) it won’t be every night.  It’ll probably be more on the order of every other night or every two days or so.  We’ll see.

I’m really looking forward to reading this book.  Here I am – a conservative – and honestly I don’t know what all entails the conservative mantra.  Hence the purchase of the book.

Eventually I would also like to read books on liberalism – just so I can understand what my “opponents” believe in.  Once that happens I think some educated discussions can take place.  Until then, it’s like two kids arguing over physics – neither knows what they’re arguing about because they don’t understand what is.
